These last couple of months have been a roller coaster ride. Thankfully, I was reminded of a scientist I was first introduced to about 20 years ago when I watched the movie What the Bleep Do we Know? which was followed up by the movie, The Secret, which is what introduced me to the Law of Attraction, which began to change my paradigm considerably. This scientist/author, Joe Dispenza, has been on trajectory for proving the power of the mind and its affect on the body for years now and again, I’m in awe of how my body and mid feels when I immerse myself in his research findings and now his most recent book, Becoming Supernatural.
A few months ago, the same person who recently suggested Joe’s latest book, recommended I look into some self publishing classes for a book idea I had. After taking the online class and playing around with the tools and resources, I began to talk about the book idea with a client that in turn became an even better story and viola! I managed to celebrate our daughter, Nyah’s, 20th birthday this year by dedicating my first published book to her.
On September 2, If Chakras Were People, was published on Kindle and shortly thereafter, the print version became available on Amazon. The idea behind the book actually began as I have been on my own unique journey of self awareness since February of this year after having witnessed more tragedy this year and watching loved ones, self included, go down a path of self sabotage. What if we begin to teach children at an early age how to FEEL and breathe and be aware of their own body’s integral energetic system that governs their emotions? What if we began to learn these things early so that as we become teenagers, adults, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, classmates and cousins, we are better equipped to handle tragedy and help one another cope.
What if the children of our future begin to cope with life in healthy ways full of awareness and compassion for one another rather than looking to self-medication and avoidance? What if they can choose to have the hard conversations that generally begin with “I feel…..”?
This book colorfully introduces each of the body’s chakras as if they were friends from a playground. They have human characteristics, favorite colors and personalities. By reading this book to and incorporating the activity of breathing, visualizing and feeling into that part of the body, parents can help guide their sweet babes toward a path of ongoing awareness and self regulation that will have an impact on the rest of their lives.
