Fascial Release Sessions Now Available

As some of you know, I’ve been traveling to Sarasota, Florida, a lot this year because my partner in life/love has been working down there since January. Staying for two weeks in July allowed me to pop over to Orlando for a couple of days and attend a life changing two-day intensive workshop on Fascial Release with Maria Alfieris of Magical Hands Physical Therapy. WOW! What an incredible experience.

Now having facilitated roughly 15 sessions including a couple’s private ceremony, I clearly see the direction my practice is heading. For over two decades, I’ve been listening to your bodies talk to me. Sometimes, I’ve felt a great tug to say things, ask questions and help you get curious as to why after seeing me for over a decade you are still experiencing that same pain between your shoulder blades or in your hips or elbow. Hell, it’s why I spent all that time and money getting the Life Coach certifications seven years ago, but that still didn’t seem to resonate like I’d hoped it would.

Our fascia is the direct connection to our energy system and the divine. It is also where all of our emotional trauma is stored with most of it on our backs. You know, “put it behind you and don’t think about it and hope it will go away.” Well, it doesn’t go away. We just continue to hold tension that causes the layers of our fascia to get more and more like the layers of a concrete jungle until one day, years later, you begin to notice limited mobility and joint issues.

Maria’s class and ‘give no f#@k attitude’ toward all aspects of fear and the limiting beliefs often caused by our ego and insecurities is creating a ripple across the world as she is helping us ALL benefit from this work. The impact I’m seeing with my own clients has been incredibly life changing and I’m delighted to begin carrying out Maria’s vision of hosting ‘fascia gatherings’ around the world to help empower others to do this work at home. The first gathering of this kind will happen in Springfield, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 17 from 6:00-8:30 pm.

These last 4-6 years have taught me a lot. I’m incredibly grateful to have an INNERstanding of how all of the aspects of my practice are coming together for one common purpose: to teach people how to feel [again].

Fascia Release is NOT massage and cannot be compared to it. I’ve set up a separate service for these sessions with a new set of pricing. I’ve found that it takes me 2.5 hours to complete the entire body, including the ‘container’ which includes the rib cage, diaphragm, abdominals, organs and deep lumbar and hip muscles located in the lower abdomen. It’s pretty incredible how much lower back pain can be relieved by releasing the front body.

What makes this work so different?

These Fascia Release sessions are essentially hands-on energy work. Each session, no matter the focus, begins with opening up the crown and third eye chakras. Depending on the objective for your session and length of time you’ve chosen to allow me space for, I may include all of the chakras and preferably, I’ll also be working with affirmations, or ‘I AM’ statements that correlate to each chakra point. While at the chakra points and other areas of the body, I hold pressure on one specific spot for up to 2-3 minutes each time.

As I’m holding consistent pressure, I’ll deepen the pressure as your body gives me permission to go deeper, allowing me to help melt through the layers of bound fascia. In most cases, you will realize where you’re holding and resisting and through deep breathing and awareness, your mind and body will begin to communicate, enabling a deep release of the fascia and often times, the corresponding emotional trauma, too.

If you have specific questions about this type of work, I encourage you to reach out to me directly  or head on over to Maria’s Instagram page; that’s how I also became aware of her work, thanks to the recommendation of one of my clients.

If you’re ready to get scheduled, you can easily book online.
