Mama Cacao Spirit Spoke to Me in Costa Rica

While attending a Kundalini Retreat at the Imiloa Institute in November, 2022, I had a profound experience at a cacao ceremony held deep in the rain forest of Costa Rica. This particular ceremony was led by Itamar & Noa Geva of Cacao Magic Costa Rica, I experienced first-hand how ceremonial grade cacao used for intentionally connecting to the inner wisdom of hearts, further cultivating our relationship with self and others by way of this plant medicine.

Ancestral, tribally and instinctually-stimulated, I have remained connected to cacao spirit even miles away from the jungle back home in Springfield, Missouri.

In February of 2023 I chose to further my understanding of this “Food of the Gods” (literal meaning), by studying remotely with Keith’s Cacao based out of Guatemala. Turns out there is a huge community of dedicated humans sharing this embodiment plant medicine with the world and I’m delighted to now be a part of it.

Whether it’s through signing, dancing, meditation, journaling, drawing, eye gazing, massage, energy work or simply setting a simple intention of connection with Mama Cacao, this superfood has a consciousness and she speaks to us daily when we listen.

If you’d feel more comfortable hosting a ceremony at your property or as part of an event, I do bring the ceremony to you. Baseline prices are the same as in my studio, plus a travel fee. This fee begins at $25 for travel within the Springfield city limits, $50 for metro area and can be quoted for anything outside of that range.

Cacao with Christy (in-person and virtually, when necessary)

Beginning sometime in February 2024, you’ll start to see opportunities on the schedule to join me twice per month for cacao and community. Space is limited and will be offered as a donation only container set up for drinking cacao and then participating in intentional free movement, journaling, playing around with percussion and other sound therapy instruments or just being still and finding awareness of breath and heart-space.
